Lakeside Garlic Fries

These garlic fries were easy, inexpensive, and delicious.

When I was at a meeting in Chapel-Hill several months ago, I met my friend Tammy for a drink.  She ordered garlic fries, and I just couldn’t resist giving them a try.  They were absolutely amazing!

Since that time, I have thought about trying to make a healthier version of this flavorful treat.  Tonight, I finally gave it a try, and I was very pleased with the result.

My baked garlic fries make a great appetizer or side dish to any entree.  Enjoy!

From start to finish, this recipe will take approximately 45 minutes.

4 large potatoes cut into thin wedges
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Texas Pete
4 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp parsley flakes
1 tsp thyme flakes
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Kosher salt
1 dash garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cumin

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together and toss potatoes until well covered.
Place wedges in one layer on non-stick baking pan.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Turn potatoes, and cook for 12 additional minutes.
(For thicker wedges, increase cook time.)

Serves 4-6
