Haystacks have to be one of the easiest Christmas candies to make. Plus, people just love them. My friend Michelle loves them so much that one year for Christmas she asked me to make her an entire batch of haystacks that she would not have to share with anyone.

So, if you need to make a quick treat for a family get-together, company party, or other holiday event, and you don’t have a lot of time, make haystacks!

From start to finish, this recipe will take you about 10 minutes.
(Allow 15 minutes for candy to cool and harden.)

1 pkg. Butterscotch morsels
1 cup unsalted peanuts
1 cup chow mien noodles

In a double boiler over medium-low heat, melt morsels, stirring until smooth.
Add peanuts and chow mien noodles, stirring until well blended.
Spoon onto wax paper.
Allow to cool until candy hardens – about 15 minutes.

I LOVE HAYSTACKS! You can also substitute the butterscotch chips for white chocolate chips, or milk chocolate chips (for those like my husband who are not fans of butterscotch).
