From start to finish, this recipe will take you about 1 hour.
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
1/2 cup butter softened
1 cup sugar divided
1 cup flour
1 – 8 oz. Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese softened
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
4 pears peeled and sliced
1/4 cup sliced almonds Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Beat butter and 1/3 cup sugar in small bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.
Add flour, and mix well.
Press onto bottom and 1 inch up the side of a 9-inch springform pan.
Beat cream cheese and 1/3 cup sugar in same bowl with mixer until well blended.
Add egg and vanilla, and mix well.
Spread onto bottom of crust.
Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon, and add pears in large bowl.
Toss to coat pears.
Arrange over cream cheese layer, and top with nuts.
Bake 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 375 degrees, and bake torte 25 minutes or until center is set.
Run knife around rim of pan to loosen torte.
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
